That barman attended the Vergnano Academy, passing the different tests successfully, improving his/her ability and learning notions on coffe* "from the origins to the cup".
Behind the success of good coffee and a nice establishment there is more than a mix of qualities: much depends also on the professionalism of the people serving behind the bar. Successfully opened in 2005, Accademia Vergnano was founded to offer barmen the opportunity to improve and give their patrons the best always. The program is divided into training courses about coffee, with lessons on how to brew a perfect espresso, guided tastings of the various coffee origins, and the creation of new coffee -based recipes. Specific lessons are also given on the proper operation of the coffee machines to optimize management and improve output. Moreover, since today cafés "make their living" from breakfast until after dinner, and barmen are not only required to prepare coffee, Accademia Vergnano offers additional ad hoc training in certain business areas, from quick meals to happy hour presentations.
